Technicians who perform maintenance, repair, disposal, or other services for parts at risk of releasing refrigerants are subject to EPA regulations under Section 608 of the Clean Air Act which requires the person to pass a test and obtain a Section 608 Technician Certification.

CEM – Certified Energy Manager (Association of Energy Engineers)

To earn a CEM certification from the AEE, engineers working in the field of energy efficiency, optimization, and management at a facility, building, or industrial plant must complete a training program and pass a globally developed exam that tests their knowledge.
